Madikwe is one of the largest game reserves in South Africa and is malaria free. Besides many other wildlife species, the Big 5 animals can also be found in the reserve.
The lodge is an eco-tourism partnership between North-West Parks, the Balete Ba Lekgophung Community and the operator, The Madikwe Collection. The community has a 45-year lease to operate a commercial lodge with traversing rights across the reserve. The concept is unique in South Africa as the community owns the development, with substantial benefits accruing back to the community itself.
Prices include luxury accommodation, two game drives per day, all meals daily, welcome drinks and teas & coffees at meals. 
The Reserve borders Botswana and is located in North West Province, 90 kilometres north of Zeerust, about 4 hours’ drive from both Johannesburg and Pretoria.
