Cape Town & Garden Route Safari

Exclusive Cape Town Garden Route Safari, self-drive one-way, 12 days.

Day 1: Arrival in Cape Town
Drive to your 5* Penthouse apartment in Camps Bay.
The luxurious 1/3 bedrooms apartment, all en-suite, offers heated Jacuzzi or pool, lounge, kitchen, dining area, secure parking, large terrace, elevator, wonderful 360° views, free WiFi. The beach, restaurants, cafés and shops are in very short walking distance. Enjoy Camps Bay’s very relaxed and interesting atmosphere.

Day 2 : Camps Bay and Clifton Beaches
Make your own excursion to Table Mountain.
Go on a City Sightseeing Tour with hop-on hop-off bus.
We are more than happy to offer a private guided tour.

Day 3: Camps Bay

Enjoy the beaches!

Day 4: Full Day Cape Peninsula Tour or Winelands Tour

Cape Peninsula day tour includes:

• Stop at Clifton Beaches
• Hout Bay boat ride to Seals Island (optional)
• Chapman’s Peak Drive
• World of Birds (optional))
• Cape Point & Nature Reserve,
• Penguin Colony at Boulders beach
• Historic Simon’s Town
• Kirstenbosch Gardens or a Constantia vinyard
• Lunch in a seafood restaurant

Day 5: Cape Agulhas and Struisbaai
Depart Cape Town early morning to Hermanus. You will follow the rugged coastline through the numerous fishing villages to Hermanus – well known for offering the finest land based Whale watching (in season from July to November) and its good air quality. Your next stop is the most Southern tip of Africa, Cape Agulhas, where the warm Indian and cold Atlantic oceans meet. You will visit the famous Cape Aghulas Lighthouse, swim in warm waters in Struisbaai and with a little luck you can watch the sting rays coming right to the shore. After a simple late lunch in one of the fish restaurants at the beach you will drive to Swellendam to stay overnight in Der schöne Ort guest house. Excellent food, you certainly will enjoy this place.(accommodation, breakfast)

Day 6: Oudtshoorn – Knysna
Leaving early morning you will drive inland over a mountain pass to visit the world famous Cango Caves. After taking a tour of this amazing natural wonder you will visit an Ostrich farm where those brave enough can take the opportunity to ride the largest bird in the world!

(Back to Garden Route) Returning to the coast via some lovely country roads you will arrive in the picturesque seaside village of Knysna. There are numerous adventure activities available here as well as some interesting local craft. Enjoy optional activities such as canoeing, abseiling, hiking or a lagoon cruise on your Garden Route Tour. (Accommodation, breakfast)

 

Cape Town Garden Route Safari Day 7 Knysna
Today you will explore more Knysna Region visiting to nature reserves like Featherbed, Monkey Land and Snake park. Other possible activities: Shopping, kayaking, boat cruise to the Knysna heads, (4* accommodation, breakfast)

Cape Town Garden Route Safari Day 8 & 9: Tsitsikamma Forest

Departing from Knysna early morning we are heading for Tsitsikamma Forest Nature Reserve. Enjoy optional activities such as bungee jumping (Storms River bridge, the highest bungee jump in the world), Segway tours or treetop tours (2h, booking essential), Zip sliding, Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour.Please tell us what you would like to do! The possibilities are endless.


You will stay in your private 5* chalet, surrounded by breathtaking nature.

Cape Town Garden Route Safari Day 10: Amahkala Game Reserve

Game Drives with professional rangers in open 4×4 safari vehicles, all meals and sundowners. You are accommodated in a comfortably appointed stone–and–thatch sleeping lodge, with air–conditioning, en–suite bathroom and private deck. The seclusion of the lodges and the design of the bathrooms and individual outdoor relaxation areas offer unique and breathtaking views.

Cape Town Garden Route Safari Day 11: Addo Elephant Park

You are heading towards Port Elizabeth and to the malaria-free Addo Elephant National Park.
Enjoy a safari in malaria free Addo Park. A game drive in the Park allows for a good opportunity to take some great photos of elephants during your Cape Town Garden Route Safari. O/n 4* B&B near Addo Park. (Accommodation, breakfast)

Cape Town Garden Route Safari Day 12 – Drive to Port Elizabeth Airport.

After an early morning Game Drive you will have a delicious breakfast and do a bush walk with a professional ranger. You may have lunch and then drive to Port Elizabeth airport to catch your flight to Cape Town International Airport.
