Private Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve Safari

Safari in Imfolozi Game Reserve is probably one of the most pleasant in South Africa. Situated North of Durban, in KwaZulu-Natal/South
Africa, adjacent to the Hluhluwe Game Reserve and together they form one of South Africa’s oldest and largest Big Five reserve.
It is home to Africa’s Big Five (Lion, Rhino, Elephant, Buffalo, and Leopard) and many other game including the elusive Cheetah, Wild Dog and Nyala. The reserve is home to over 1,600 White Rhinos. Poaching presents a problem. Prime game viewing takes place at hides overlooking pans and waterholes which enable visitors to see animals at close range.

The very green Reserve is also one of the must see ‘birding’ destinations on the planet, with over 300 different species having been recorded.

Safaris in Kruger Park, unfortunately, has become very commercialized over recent years. Not so a Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve Safari, it still is like the real Africa, as it once was.

Tour details:
This is a full day private tour. The reserve is about 300 km North of Durban. We shall collect you at about 7:00 at your hotel / lodge and will then travel towards the sub-tropical coast and bushveld of Zululand and arrive at Hluhluwe Game Reserve to start our game drive in the Imfolozi section of the reserve. When you are ready for Lunch we will drive to Hilltop camp and another game drive before returning to Durban in the late afternoon.

Hluhluwe – Imfolozi Game Reserve is considered to be a low risk malaria area!
